Pop-up Shop at the GC2018 Superstore

The Royal Australian Mint is popping-up again on the Gold Coast. The Mint pop-up shop and mobile coin press will be at the GC2018 Superstore in Broadbeach, Queensland from 23 to 25 February 2018.

The Pop-up shop will be selling the counterstamped map of Australia on the 2018 $1 Coloured Frosted Uncirculated -XXI Commonwealth Games Borobi coin.

This will be your opportunity to view the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games medals up-close and pick up a special memento from the commemorative coins collection.

Mint Masterclass at Enlighten

Participate in a remarkable experience this Enlighten - an exclusive Mint Masterclass at the Royal Australian Mint.

As a special treat you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in an authentic coin modelling and sculpting experience hosted by Mint coin designers.

Spaces are limited for those who would like to learn the arts of traditional plaster and modern 3D coin modelling techniques, as practised by masters in Mint’s around the world.

Popping-up at the GC2018 Superstore

The Royal Australian Mint is popping-up on the gold coast in the countdown to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The Mint pop-up shop and mobile coin press will be at the GC2018 Superstore in Broadbeach, Queensland from 24 to 26 January 2018.

The pop-up shop will have on display the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games gold, silver and bronze medals, along with official commemorative coins collection.

This will be a rare opportunity for the public to pick up a special keepsake of the Games and see the Games medals up-close and personal.

This latest exhibition, which opens today at the Royal Australian Mint showcases exceptional nineteenth and early twentieth century Australian silver and gold objects drawn from the National Gallery of Australia’s significant collection of colonial decorative arts and design. The theme of this exhibition is celebration, with objects marking significant personal, community and professional achievements and milestones, or displays of prosperity and artistic accomplishment.

The Mint gets into gear for Summernats 31

With Australia’s biggest horsepower party less than a month away, the Mint has made plans to join the action at the annual Street Machine Car Festival SUMMERNATS 31 next month.

In celebration of one of Australia’s best known automobile manufacturers, the Mint will have a limited number of the highly sought-after eleven individual coins from the Australian Ford Classic Collection available for purchase, priced at $15 each. In addition to this, the stand will be selling a range of recent release products including the 2017 $2 Coloured Circulating Remembrance Day coin swap sachets.
